Santa
Today at the school's Christmas fair, a dad was dressed up as a very good (albeit unconvincing) Santa. My younger two kids were thrilled to see him (again). The older two were mainly trying to work out whose dad was playing Santa. They were bribed thrilled to go and stand with the younger ones for a photo.....
Mac was whittering on about what he would like Santa to bring him. Paddy and Bee looked on in disdain and as you can see, Rory was none too impressed with any of it......
After the obligatory photos, Santa saw a few other kids and then went off for a break. Restroom, then a coke and a hotdog seemed to be his thing. As he stood at the lunch table, Santa approached Hubby, ketchup bottle in hand and asked, "Do you really not let your kids have Ketchup?"
Big sigh from me..... Hubby looked taken aback to be asked this by 'Santa' and then told him that indeed, he (Hubby) doesn't let them have ketchup. Mainly because they have no common sense in how much of the stuff should be used.
Hubby normally quotes that Michael Caine (they have no clue who he is) didn't ever let his kids have ketchup as a kid....Thank Goodness Mac hadn't shared that bit of the Ketchup story, with Santa...instead he had included, that, y'know, along with his list of toys, he would like to be allowed Ketchup again.

My girls would be at a loss at your house as, I swear, sometimes ketchup is the only thing that gets eaten off of their plates.
How sweet is Mac asking for ketchup back again. I wonder if Santa will grant that request!
