It's off.
Mac was in trouble AGAIN at school it seems. So as promised (more like threatened) he now isn't going to his friend's birthday party on Sunday. He seemed devestated for about 5 minutes then remembered it is also my birthday that day so there will probably be cake. Then in his cutest most innocent voice ever he started to ask me about party bags and balloons.
Mmmmmmm.
I wrote an e-mail to Dex's dad regarding Mac's behaviour and our following through on the warnings etc. We had previously said Mac would indeed be going to said party - and we bought the presents already so I am still going to give these to Dex. Etiquette wise, do you think I have covered all my bases?

Yes you did the right thing! It's a hard one though, I could never do it even though I threatened it. I always ended up saying "It's not fair to punish so and so for your behaviour so you can go blah blah blah."
Perhaps if I had stuck to my guns the first time it wouldn;t have happened more than once.
