Great friends and the jelly belly....
Last night I was busy getting ready to go out...again....when the mailman turned up at the door with a package. A real package, with real handwriting not just the computer generated Amazon sticker which arrive regularly due to my book addiction bringing the occasional novel to my door. No sir this was a delightful, unexpected surprise from Suburban Mum....the star blogger...who is slowly educating me on the finer points of a Southern accent and always makes me laugh (larf).
Here were my goodies......
Yes lots of gorgeous chocolate goodies... (and outrageous postage costs which seem to have been picked up by her Northern husband (not that she has another or anything....just that he comes from the North). Not sure if he is actually aware he mailed me this package but thanks go to him all the same.
Maltesers......multi packs of FLAKES, TWIRLS and CRUNCHIES.....and my favourite pat and chocolate chip hobnobs........and from our previous Skype conversations she sent me Options Mint Choc hot chocolate powder...and a very funny, very me/us card.
What a lot of treats....to keep me going A LONG TIME. Now she had sent this the previous week so it can't be classed as sabotage for my new healthy outlook (see previous post)...and I am going to add this to my reward system. So the fact I did 3 miles on the treadmill tonight explains why the Maltesers are now open....etc etc.
I am SOOOOO grateful - I hope she knows what this means to me. I shall have to put together an equally calorie laden kind package to ship on back to her.......thinking hat on.
